Dollar Tree Haul

Hello!

I was curious to see what the Dollar Tree had for drugstore makeup right now.  I usually see Elf (some of it is $1 regularly), Elf Studio, Loreal, Wet n Wild, Cover Girl, and NYC.  This time they had Milani, Loreal, Elf, Aziza, Wet n Wild, NYC, and Loreal.  The brands LA Colors and Donna Michelle are always there.

I got a Milani Glitter Eyeliner in Brown, it has a really fine glimmer. Two Anti-Aging Facial masks and two anti-wrinkle green tea facial masks, Pure Silk shaving cream, Aziza eyeshadow palette in Memphis, and some gum!
Here are the Aziza Memphis eyeshadows swatched out
So far I really like the Milani eyeliner and I will have to try out the eyeshadows.  I also purchased the Elf Eyelash Curler and Lengthening Mascara on a different trip and I'm enjoying both.  The mascara goes on lightly and gives more of a natural look. I haven't noticed any clumping or flaking.

What's getting me through the winter!

I thought I would share some products that are helping me through the winter today.  The weather has been up and down and as I type now it is 28F outside.  My skin and lips get really dry from the constantly changing temps and the heater.
  1. Regis Design Line  Cashmere Kera-Forte Fortifying Treatment  - I've been using this on my hair as a mask to keep it soft and shiny. So far so good!
  2.  Ulta Beauty Smoothies in Lemonade - I got this on clearance and I used a coupon for 1.97.  i may be different but in the winter I like scents that remind me of summer.  Doesn't smell quite like lemonade but it's a lemony pick-up I need in the mornings.  I also bought this in Strawberry.
  3. The Body Shop Lip Butter in Coconut  - I needed a backup lip balm and this saved my chapped lips.  This was the most severe dry lips I've had in a long time.  I wish it were in stick form rather than the pot but I think I'll always have one around from now on.
  4. C.O. Bigelow  Power Berry Mask - I decided to use more masks this winter to improve the glow and texture of my skin.  My skin feels fresh and dewy afterward.
  5. Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing and Repair cream - I use this all over and it get really gets at tough spots on my elbows and knees.
  • For my Keurig I've been loving Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread again
  • My go to clothing choices are cute sweatshirts with crochet or sequins and big fluffy socks

Fragrance Collection 2014

I thought I would share my fragrance collection with you today.  I have been getting more into fragrance and I am branching out and trying more.  It is not a big collection but I like to able to use what I have.

I store the bottles in a wicker basket from Hobby Lobby on a shelf away from sunlight.

The perfumes I have are (l to r)  Apple Delight (Be Delicious dupe), Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia, Marc Jacobs Daisy, DKNY Golden Delicious, Marc Jacobs Lola, Marc Jacobs Dot (you can tell I like Marc Jacobs huh?) and Avon Enchanted Magic

My mists are (l to r)  Victoria's Secret Angel, VS Strawberries and Champagne, Avon Free O2, Bath and Body Works Into the Wild, Tropical Coloda, Exotic Coconut, and Creamy Coconut, Avon Violet and Lychee, B&BW Carried Away, and Yves Rocher Monoi de Tahiti

My favorite of all is Daisy - it smells so clean and the floral and strawberry make me happy.  Daisy Eau So Fresh is on my list of fragrances to purchase next.  The Apple Delight (dupe of DKNY Be Delicious) is nothing amazing - it smells like granny smith apples.  I have used Lola for years but I am getting tired of it and I want to try Gucci Guilty.

With the mists I am heavy on the coconut which I am phasing out.  My favorite may be the Avon Violet and Lychee  which has been discontinued. The Avon Secrets to Keep has lychee in it though!

  • I tried the Tory Burch fragrance recently. It smells of oranges and sandalwood. I enjoyed the smell but I do not think I will be purchasing this.

Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait

Revlon Lip Butter - Peach Parfait  $6.48
I really wanted to like the Revlon Lip Butters , but I have barely reached for this.  The formula is too thick for me, slightly sticky.  The color is great and easy to apply.  I like Avon's Totally Kissable lipsticks better and have almost finished Lovey Dovey Pink.

Yves Rocher review!

I discovered Yves Rocher in a magazine in 2000. I wanted to try some products and they were offering any product in the catalog for $3.95 - i ordered a Neblina fragrance(discontinued)  set that was priced at $75. It came with some freebies and samples. I liked what I got and ordered one other time.  Fast foward to 2011 and I remembered their Monoi de Tahiti oil that I had loved and I wanted some more. So I began ordering again but it was hard to find any reviews on Yves Rocher. There are no stores in the states and are barely known. I haven't seen a magazine ad in years.I thought I could share my thoughts on the products. The products to me are all drugstore quality, I say this because they have a high original price point. The products are always on sale or half off. I always take advantage of free products offers with purchase or coupon codes.

The Cleansing Milk and Exfoliating Foam cleanser do a nice job at cleansing the skin. No irritation or dryness. The Chamomile toner is nice, but nothing amazing.

I love the scents of some of the shower gels. The Monoi scent gets repurchased a lot.
The Micellar Cleansing Water is my favorite toner from Yves Rocher. Usually I go back for a select handful of products with unique scents.
